Linda was the personification of an animal lover. Jerry and Linda were united in marriage in Sioux Falls. Jerry then served as a firefighter with the Sioux Falls Fire Department, eventually becoming a Captain.
After graduating from Washington High School, he worked for a time at Sutherland Lumber. Gerald Allen "Jerry" Black, son of George and Doris (Kenyon) Black, was born Januin Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up and received her education there. As a child she moved with her family to Sioux Falls, SD. Linda Kay Larson, daughter of Lester and Geneva (Larson) Larson, was born Septemin Watertown, SD.
